INFINITE FLAVORS, TASTEFUL DESIGN

In order to design a drinks printer that can make any drink, various challenges needed to be addressed, including managing complex internals and design limitations.

As the principal designer it was imperative to closely collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, and stakeholders to incorporate the needs of consumers, sophisticated technology, and internal parts.

We carefully chose part breaks and split lines to balance cost-effective manufacturing with a great user experience and aesthetics. Our materials withstood acidic and alcohol-based liquids, while larger internal corner rounds made cleaning easier. Drip tray perforations struck the right balance between part strength and smooth liquid flow, all considering daily usage.

MAKING A SPLASH

Given the extensive media coverage of the first drinks machine, it was crucial to prioritize the optimization of the system architecture and achieve a sleek and modern design that was ready for any countertop.
